FALLNG INTO A NEW SEASON
Why is Fall my favorite time of year? Two words: Pumpkin Spice. The end.
Okay, that's only one reason! Doesn't everyone love Fall? If you haven't been to Nashville in the Fall, I highly recommend visiting during the autumn months. Nashville is BEAUTIFUL in the Fall and one of my favorite things to do is drive through the Belle Meade neighborhood when the leaves are changing. I love seeing everyone's pumpkins on their porches and kids playing outside. I also love grabbing a coffee and driving to Columbia, TN to walk around downtown when the weather is sunny and cool. Last Sunday's weather was perfect and I was so excited to wear this Chambray Dress for the first time. On the way home from church, I started thinking about all of the fun things we have to look forward to with Fall on the way!
WHY FALL IS MY FAVORITE
1. College Football is BACK! I LOVE cooking up all the yummy tailgate foods, lounging on the couch, and watching East Carolina Pirates and Georgia Bulldogs take on their opponents!
2. But really, Pumpkin EVERYTHING. You won't find me first in line at Starbucks the second they start brewing the PSL for the season, but I do love stocking up on pumpkin scented candles. Fall also means its time to bake homemade Pumpkin Chocolate Chip bread to enjoy at breakfast with coffee... and my Pumpkin Spice coffee creamer, of course.
3. Fall = State Fair Season. I love layering up and walking around a state fair on a cool, crisp fall night. I like how it gets a little chilly when you're riding the Ferris wheel... creating an opportunity to snuggle with your sweetie!
4. Bonfires! John built a fire pit in the backyard last year and as soon as the temps drop, we invite friends over. I usually make chili & cornbread and we gather around the fire to eat. Later into the night, we break out the marshmallows & Hershey's and make s'mores... sometimes we pass the guitar around for a little music too!
