TAKING ON TEXAS

If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook, you've seen that I spent a few days in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Work brought us to the Lonestar State, we were scheduled to play a campus concert at The University of North Texas at Dallas. We have friends in the area so we extended our trip a few days to hang out with them and take on Texas! Texas is one of my favorite places. If I couldn't be from Carolina, I'd be from Texas. I love the landscape, I love the truly authentic cowboy way of life, and the food... OH, The food!

ON THE ROAD: A TYPICAL DAY

If you're looking for juicy stories about after-parties and trashing hotel rooms... you're going to have to look elsewhere. In fact, most of the major country music tours are low-key. That's not to say we don't have a good time (Oh, do we have a good time!) but very rarely these days do you hear about musicians throwing TV's out of the window. SO, I'm taking you through a typical day on the road, from early morning call times to my version of the after party!

MY ULTIMATE NASHVILLE GUIDE

The secret is OUT! Nashville is THE place to visit! Now ranking as one of the top bachelor/bachelorette party destinations (and with the population changing by 100 people per day), Nashville is quickly taking ownership of the moniker, "The New Vegas". I have mixed feelings about this... more on that in a later blog. So, it's not uncommon for me to get an email once-a-month saying, "We're coming to Nashville! Any suggestions?" I quickly started to keep a running list on my phone and have now compiled it into one for ALL to see & access! YAY! Below are my favorite places to eat, play, & stay...
